"My husband and I have been clients of State Farm for 55 years and one of the reasons we have not strayed is the personal customer service that has been shown to us when needed. Lately, though, State Farm corporate offices have not been as diligent with their correspondence and invoices. We wanted the word Trust added to our home mortgage insurance which has caused some confusion and errors being made. When we received wrong correspondence and invoices, I immediately called Dave Melle's office, our agent. My first inquiry was straightened out immediately by Dave Melle correcting corporates mistake. I then received wrong Invoices for our 2 car insurances and immediately called again. This time Andrea answered and as I explained my frustration, she instantly recognized what must have happened to cause this problem. That in itself was impressive and she said she would call State Farm auto division immediately and get back to us. Within 15 minutes Andrea informed us that she was right and straightened out the confusion with State Farm. Superb service!!!! With insurance costs skyrocketing, I thought I would share this story showing that there are other reasons for not switching your policies to other companies. Over the years, we can honestly say, whenever we have had a claim on our home or accidents with our cars, we have ALWAYS been treated with the utmost respect and concern with our claims being settled to our satisfaction. If anyone is looking for a great agent and staff, I recommend Dave Melle."

"Andrea with Dave Melle State Farm Insurance was extremely helpful through our process to figure out what to do with my car. During the weekend of Halloween my family and I were driving out of town to visit some friends when the road we were driving on was shut down due to a car accident. With that road being shut down, we were detoured down a really crappy dirt road full of slush, gravel and snow from the night before. My husband could barely control the car on the road. When we made it back onto the tar road, my car had essentially died due to my serpentine belt snapping. We were stuck in the middle of nowhere, 2 hours away from home and still an hour and a half from our friends place. I didn't know at the time that I have roadside assistance until after the fact. I contacted the claims department to see about filing a claim since we broke down but wasn't sure if it would be covered. The claims representative wasn't very helpful and said to contact our insurance agent. Explained everything and was told that they could reimburse me for having the car towed but wouldn't reimburse for the repairs. I had emailed a copy of the receipt of the tow charge and received confirmation of reimbursement from Andrea within 24 hours. Andrea was very helpful and I appreciated the quick response from her for the approval of the reimbursement. All in all great customer service!"
